Intelligent, independent, efficient, interactive, and simply amazing. These are just a few of the many qualities that can be used to describe our ITS team. Our staff ranges from University professors, graduate and undergraduate students, to full time staff and engineers. We are very proud of our team.
Linda received a B.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of Oklahoma in May 2003. She is currently pursuing a M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Her interest include web applications development, computer system design, and multimedia.
Alexandra is a transfer student from Ecuador. She received her B.S. in Electrical Engineering at the University of Oklahoma in May 2007. Alexandra joined the ITS lab in January 2006 as a TraCS developer and served as the team's Project Manager until May 2007.
Roy Sivley joined the lab in April of 2003 and was recently appointed to lead the SAFE-T project. He received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Oklahoma State University in 2002 and is currently pursuing a M.S. in Electrical Engineering at the University of Oklahoma. His interests include signal and image processing, digital and electronic architectures, and listening to and playing music.
Bob Huck moved to Tulsa, OK where he now is the Manager of the Telecommunications Interoperability Lab at OU-Tulsa. Bob is still very active in the design and deployment of the Statewide ITS for Oklahoma. His interests include computer system design, network design, optical networks, making computers ubiquitous in society, and fishing.
Jasper joined the lab in the Fall of 2005. During his time at the ITS lab he worked on the ATIS and Safe-T projects while pursuing a B.S. in Computer Engineering. His other interests include playing guitar and going to shows.
Ling is a graduate student in Electrical and Computer Engineering in Norman. She was with the lab from 2005 to 2006.
Mouhammad joined the ITS Lab in the Spring of 2006. He completed his undergraduate studies in Computer and Communication Engineering in Lebanon. He is now a second semester masters student in the OU-Tulsa TCOM program. He reports on software and creates applications for the CCTV cameras to be used in the ITS console. Mouhammad is interested in wireless telecommunications technology and soccer.
Fares joined the ITS lab in August 2005 through the OU-Tulsa TCOM program. During his time here he helped develop a web interface and expanded key features of the open-source Map-Server GIS. He also helped design, implement, and test secure virtual private networking between the Unversity's campuses. He is fluent in French, Lebanese, and English.
Kari received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma in May 2007. She began working for the ITS lab during the Fall 2006. Kari held many leadership positions while attending OU. She was vice chair of the OU IEEE Student chapter and president of the OU Eta Kappa Nu Beta XI chapter from 2006 to 2007.
Mark graduated Magna Cum Laude from Florida State University with a B.S. in Computer Science during Spring 2006. Mark was a member of the Florida State University TraCS development team until moving to Oklahoma and joining the ITS Lab in Spring of 2007. He is currently pursuing an M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
Wei is currently pursuing an interdisciplinary Ph.D in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics at the University of Oklahoma. She earned her B.S. in Mathematics from the Liaoning Normal University (LNU), China in 1998 and her M.S. in Computational Mathematics in 2001 from the Dalian University of Technology (DLUT), China. She worked for a few years at the North China Institute of Computing Technology before relocating to the United States to study at the University of Oklahoma.
