SAFE-T
Accident records
Project Description
The SAFE-T system is a tool used by the Oklahoma Department of Transportation to catalogue and analyze roadway collisions in the state of Oklahoma.
Reports generated by the system are used by government employees around the state to identify problem areas and plan roadway changes.
The reports include maps showing locations of collisions and an analysis of when and why collisions occurred. The system has the ability to search for locations by number of collisions, and the lists included in the reports give general information on each collision.
Each analysis can be run on user-specified regions, from individual highways to a statewide area. The user can specify a time frame and use special filters. For example, the user can create a report describing only collisions of a certain severity or in which a certain type of vehicle was involved.
